Legal JJD Zombies
JJD Zombies Terms of Use
About this policy
These terms apply when you install or play JJD Zombies, the Geo DLC and any playtest build. They are short on purpose.
This agreement
This is an agreement between you and Jiffy Jr Development ("we") for the game JJD Zombies, its downloadable content and updates (together, "the game"). By installing or playing it you accept these terms. If you don't, don't install it, or uninstall it. How the game handles your information is in the privacy policy.
What you may do
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and play the game on computers you own or control. If you bought it through Steam or itch.io, that store's own terms also apply to your purchase.
What you may not do
- Sell, rent, share or re-upload the game, its files or a playtest build you were given. Playtest builds are for the people they were sent to.
- Take the game's art, sound, music or voice recordings out of it and use them elsewhere. Some are licensed to us only for use in the game.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the game to get around its protections or to cheat online, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
- Use the game's online features to harass others, to send unlawful content, or to disrupt other people's games or our services.
Online play, chat and names
Other players can see the name you choose, your character and what you do in a game. Text and voice chat are not moderated: be kind, don't share personal information with people you don't know, and don't use a name that is offensive or that pretends to be someone else. A game's host may replace an offensive name, and we may remove a leaderboard entry. You are responsible for what you say and type in games.
Cheats and the leaderboards
Cheats, mods and changed game files are fine in a game you play with friends, but they stop a run from counting for the online leaderboards, and the game does not send a score when it finds them. Trying to fake a score or to get around that check may get your entries removed.
Playtest and preview builds
Preview builds are for testing. They have faults, change often, and can lose your saved settings or scores. Please tell us what you find. You allow us to use your feedback to improve the game, without owing you anything for it.
Playing safely
JJD Zombies is a cartoon horror game with zombies, loud sounds, flashing effects and some scary moments. Take breaks, and stop if you feel unwell. It isn't meant for young children.
Who owns what
The game, its name, logo, characters and original art, sound and code belong to Jiffy Jr Development or to the people who made them for us, and some parts are used under licence from their makers. Unity, Steam, itch.io and other names belong to their owners and are used only to describe how the game works.
No warranty
The game is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose, and the online features may change or end.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Jiffy Jr Development is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about the game is limited to what you paid for it, or US$50 if you paid nothing. Some places don't allow these limits; where they don't, they apply only as far as allowed. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.
Ending this agreement
You can stop at any time by uninstalling the game. We may end your access to the online features if you break these terms. The sections on ownership, warranty and liability continue afterwards.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them there instead.
Changes to these terms
We post changes here with a new date. If the game changes in a way that needs new terms, you'll see them before you play that version.
